Management Essentials Program Introduction
Introduction
This class is designed to provide participants with an introduction to the Management Essentials program and an overview of the role of a manager and a working knowledge of emotional intelligence; its effect upon performance, its influence in business today and the skills and competencies necessary for adaptation, change and application.
Learning Objectives:
By the end of this module, participants will be able to:
- Identify the difference between a manager and a leader
- Learn the concepts of management accountability versus responsibility
- Understand the characteristics of the strong manager/leader
- Describe what emotional intelligence is
- Explain what emotional competence is
- Describe the importance between intellectual and emotional intelligence
