Consultative Working Sessions

More than Consulting

Team Working Sessions are the critical vehicle for completing the customization work needed in a Matrix Management 2.0 implementation. Once the leadership team has committed to a specific S.P.A.R.C. Solution a core team is needed to customize that solution to 'fit' your organization.

Given that these sessions are not only creating the "new rules of engagement" for your organization but are also designing and embarking on a major change initiative the engagement and full commitment of the team members during the process and knowledge about Matrix Management 2.0™ is required to ensure success. We accomplish this through these collaborative team-based Consultative Working Sessions.

What is a Consultative Working Session?

A consultative working session is a collaborative team-based session, led by a Matrix Management 2.0™expert facilitator who leads a matrix implementation project team through the customization of the Matrix Management 2.0™ S.P.A.R.C. solution tools required to deliver the solution selected by leaders.

During consultative working sessions, facilitators:

  • Develop the knowledge of the team about Matrix Management 2.0™ and S.P.A.R.C. to develop the internal expertise about this management system
  • Facilitate the team to customize the Matrix Management 2.0 tools
  • Resolve conflicts that are derailing the process
  • Help the team focus on the adoption of the solution within the organization
  • Lead the team through implementation planning

How many Consultative Sessions do we need?

Every matrix organization is not only different, but is at a different level of maturity operating as a matrix organization. The number of sessions your organization needs will depend on various factors such as: The identified S.P.A.R.C. Solution, the commitment level of your leadership team, the availability of team members to work on the development effort, the adoption history of change initiatives.

A cookie-cutter approach does not work but our team is committed to develop your knowledge and skill to do this work as fast as possible so that your reliance on us does not become cost-prohibitive for your organization. We have supported teams for as little as 3 days and we have joined the project team and led consultative working sessions for the length of the project. Our team will work with you to determine the appropriate level of support we recommend to ensure success. We will never ask you to commit to something that is not necessary because it is standard.

If you would like more information about these sessions and how to get started, contact us to speak to one of our team members about your needs.
