Certified Matrix Management Consultant Program (CMMC™)
CMMC™ is the premier certification program for the Matrix Management Consultant. This program is for the professional who wants to enrich their organizational development skills to be able to support a Matrix organization with assessment, organizational design and implementation.
The program consists of three levels of certification with each level preparing the student to consult on a specific topic of the Matrix OMS™ system. Each level of certification is achieved after attending a CMMC™ Train the Consultant Boot Camp.
Teaching methods include lecture, case-study work and group exercises. Class size is limited due to the intensive work effort and utilization of real-life organizational examples.
Train the Consultant boot camps are five days in length and offered periodically on a public basis. On-site programs are available for larger organizations.
CMMC™ Levels of Certification
Level 1 – Matrix Foundations: The Matrix Foundations is broken down into three foundation programs – Overview & Assessment, Structure and Accountability. Each program addresses a major component of Matrix OMS so the consultant is prepared to assist the organization as they embark on a Matrix Management Implementation. Students begin with the Overview & Assessment Program so they have a firm foundation in the concepts and theory of Matrix Management, know how the old vertical paradigms can derail the process and be able to lead the organization through a Matrix Readiness Assessment to determine what gaps the organization has related to the foundations system. Once complete, the individual will move onto the Structure and then Accountability program.
Level 2 – Executing Strategy: Upon completion of this level, the consultant will have a full understanding how to prepare the organization to execute the strategic plan. They will learn how to lead horizontal goal decomposition sessions, create the portfolio selection process and prioritize the work to create alignment at all levels of the organization. Level 1 certification is required to attend this program.
Level 3 – Enterprise Wide Innovation: Upon completion of this level, the consultant be able to support the development of an innovation organization. They will focus on the process of innovating across the organization, understand what an innovation system is and how it integrates with the project system and understand the importance of adoption and relationships to the process.
