A Cost Effective Option to Onsite Training
Martin Training offers organizations a way to bring proven instructor-led training in-house at an affordable cost.
Our train-the-trainer programs provide you with the know-how, materials and learning aids within your organization, department or team to develop key skills needed to operate in today's cross-functional organizations.
Train-the-trainer programs are available for Project Management, Meeting Management, Matrix Management and Team Development topics.
The objective of these programs is to develop internal resources that will be able to offer proven workshops to your staff in a cost-effective way. For programs that are aligned to the Project Managmement Institute, A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge, (PMBOK® Guide) - Fourth Edition, Project Management Institute, Inc., 2008 and certified, participants can receive valuable Professional Development Units that can be applied to the educational requirements for individuals pursuing PMP® certification or re-certification.
How does Train-the-trainer work?
If you decide train-the-trainer is for you, simply call us to see if we have an upcoming program. Class size is limited to six participants to assure each of individual attention. If you have two or more staff to train, we can bring the program on-site.
Our programs run from 3 to 5 days (depending on if you have completed the pre-requisite training). Throughout the session, the course material is reinforced with review questions, application to a real life situations selected by each participant, and practice teaching assignments. Participants leave the workshop as MTA-certified instructors, ready to train internal employees and/or consult and mentor staff on the methodologies. All instructor materials – manuals, LCD presentations and trainer aids – are provided.
What Happens after Certification?
Schedule your first course and order the participant materials needed for your program. Materials and all supporting documentation will be shipped to your destination.
When complete, provide us with the participant names and we will send you individualized Certificates of Completion to be used a proof of completion for students.

Project Management
We offer two programs to develop project management knowledge and skill in the organization. The five day C.O.R.E. skills trainer and the three day Project Sponsorship Program.
The C.O.R.E. skills program that prepares the student to train three different project management workshops. Introduction to Project Management Concepts, Building Project Management Skills and our most popular program C.O.R.E. Skills for Managing Projects. Attendees that have previously attended a two or three-day version of this program are eligible for the shortened three-day train-the-trainer program.
The Project Sponsorship program prepares the instructor to lead the one-day C.O.R.E. Skills for Sponsoring Projects.
Meeting Management
This is a three day program that prepares the student to train our highly interactive and popular Leading Effective Meetings Workshop. Students will learn how to train the program in two-days or one-day depending on organizational need and will become experts on a collaborative decision making and problem solving process that can applied across the organization.
Team Development
In this three-day program, you will learn how to teach our team development program and become an expert in the collaborative based tools that will aide the leader of any cross-functional team to improve the way people work together as a team.
Matrix Management
In this five-day program you will receive level 1 certification in the Certified Matrix Management Consultant program. Through the use of assessment pre-work, case study application and lecture you will cover the foundational topics of Matrix Management 2.0 necessary to develop your expertise in this cutting-edge management technology. In addition, you will learn how to facilitate an internal leadership team through the our Base Camp 2.0 program that helps you jump start the implementation of Matrix Management 2.0 in the organization.
